The Continental Club is one of Austin's famous historical venues. The original owner Morin Scott started the club in 1957 as a private venue for touring acts. Through the 70's, the venue featured some exceptional talent such as Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Ely, and Kinky Friedman. Current owner Steve Wertheimer refurbished the club in 1987.

The club, with its appropriate location on South Congress boasts acts from all genres these days. Happy Hours on Mondays featuring Paris 49, and on Tuesdays with Toni Price (the infamous "Hippie Hour") are two of the club's residency acts. But the venue also features rock, funk, R&B, you name it, they got it.
