Opened in 2000, this locally-owned neighborhood pub on 6th Street caters to a different crowd than most of the student-oriented shot bars that populate the district. Featuring a design straight from Ireland, good food, fresh beer served properly and live music every night with no cover, the pub is billed as "6th Street for Grown Ups," meaning anyone who enjoys a good time, good music, and a crowd a bit "north of 21." Built in Ireland and assembled here, the feeling is folksy, homey, like a Cheers sort of spot where everyone's a regular eventually. Great bands, generous drinks and tasty food help, but the real vibe comes from the service--customers are really appreciated and it shows. Live music 7 nights a week, including Irish, blues, rock, Americana and an Open Mic night each Tuesday. No cover ever.
