Decade of Moral Fumbles: 1990-1999

The Wannabes Album Review:
Go Kevin Go Kevin! at 2003-09-19
I bought Decade Of Moral Fumbles because my Lucky PierreCassett got ate up in my car :( and I really needed tohear Kevin Carneys classic solo on Leg OWood!!! Not to saythat it tops the solo on the I Am God solo on the Love me(silly love songs?) cassett which I adore more so than the retake done on Popsucker....Kevin, Thad, Jennings, and Michael (ha sorry Hunter!)YALL ROOL!Dave

The Wannabes Album Review:
Powerpop kings of Austin at 2001-02-27
On Decade of Moral Fumbles, The Wannabes capture the best of their output of the 1990s. A redheaded stepchild of Austins 1980s New Sincerity scene, The Wannabes brought forth music that shone like a fake id at a girlie bar. When one listens to this CD, there is a clear influence from The Replacements, Cheap Trick and Neil Diamond.(Girl(Lets not have sex))Shining production by John Croslin (Spoon, The Reivers) bring guitars, vocals, bass, drums and strings into a crystalline mix. Anyone into The Mats, late era Husker Du or Fastball will really appreciate the wonderful hooks, clever turns of phrase and humorous packaging of this collection--is that Roy Orbisons kid standing next to the Pope?

The Wannabes Album Review:
The future kings of nostalgia rock at 2005-01-18
Someday the Wannabes will be discovered as the kings of 90s pop punk that they are. By then they will all be dead and the world will mourn for their mistake in overlooking them in their prime. Then youll all be sorry. Dont be one of those weeping fools of the future. Grab Popsucker right now. from Coffee Can to I am God you will feel like youre drunk and bouncing up and down at the Hole in the Wall or Electric Lounge in 1995 Austin. Even if you have no idea what Im talking about, if you like clever, fun rock and roll, youll love this album
