The Brew Album Review: Treat yourself to some Brew! at 2003-08-13 Rio Vista is an excellent sampling of the fine works of this group. If youre looking for great latin sounds, give this CD a try. The music on the CD is well-recorded and makes me wonder why these guys arent on tour. Dont get me wrong! Im extremely pleased they play their music here locally, in Austin, Texas and go to as many of their performances as I can. Other Austin TX venues they frequent include Miguels La Bodega, Cedar Street, Speakeasy, and The Oasis (Sundays in the summertime, excellent lake view). If you cant make it to a live show, you wont be disappointed with this CD. Theyve also released a new CD titled Latin Brew. Also a must-have!
The Brew Album Review: Well-drawn Brew! at 2000-07-12 The Brew is active in Austin, Texas, often performing at Sullivans Ringside and Iron Cactus. This album is a collection of some of their light jazz hits. In the club scene, however, their sound is distinctively salsa in the tradition of Carlos Santana, so be looking for future releases by this memorable, eclectic band.
