Ron Brown Album Review: Great gospel jazz at 2002-11-12 Ron Brown does an outstanding job on this cd. His arrangements of Amazing Grace and I know it was the blood are fabulous. His original songs His Love, Holy Spirit and Grace as well as Hes the Son prove that theres more to gospel jazz than hymns. Great album all the way through

Ron Brown Album Review: Excellent CD at 2004-07-12 I bought this CD for my 9 year old son. He had difficulty with Multiplication tables as he has Dyslexia. But he really benefited from this CD. He now knows his tables very well thanks to this great CD. He really enjoyed the great variety of song styles and particularly liked the eight times tables. This CD is not as long as others but it has great quality. I had bought my son Multiplication Unplugged but he found the songs too childish and thought they were more like Nursery Rhymes. I agree with him. When judging a CD I believe in quality not quantity. It is good value if it helps a child with learning difficulties such as those my son has. That is why I really recommend Multiplication by Ron Brown.

Ron Brown Album Review: Soft, Smooth and Sensual at 2004-01-22 This cd features Ron Brown playing soprano sax and is the smoothest and most beautiful sax cd that I own. The majority of the songs are smooth and sensual with the best being Serenade, From My Eyes Only, You Are Not Alone, Why Does It Hurt So Bad, Id Rather Be With You and The Morning After. The cd was put out by Discovery Records in 1997 and at the time Doc Powell was also with Discovery. Doc appears on almost every song on the cd mainly playing keyboards, but also playing guitar. Since this cd came out Ron Brown has become a minister and his music today is gospel. But make no mistake about it, this is not gospel here. This is smooth jazz at its best.
