The Geezinslaws biggest hit to date has been "Help. I'm White and I Can't Get Down" from their 1992 album Feelin' Good, Gettin' Up and Gettin' Down. Their World Tour album from 1990 was their second effort.
Sammy Allred, the mandolin player and lead vocalist, is half this comical musical pair with Dewayne "Son" Smith on guitar and vocals. Audiences at their concerts have been known to laugh so loud you can hardly hear the music. Their sound is described as hillbilly harmony with R & B backup chicks and redneck spoken word.
Don't let their comedy fool you, though, these guys are singers, songwriters and musicians with talent and plenty of big name appearances to their credit. That explains why they offer a 50 minute selection of comedy on their website. It probably is an explanation for why one of their albums is called Blah, Blah, Blah and another is named I Wish I Had a Job to Shove.
