Described as a true country gentleman and a genuine honky tonk troubadour, James Hand has played in Austin for years. Before that he played with some well known artists around the country.
His current Austin band includes lead guitarist Pete Mitchell, BB Morse on stand up bass, Herb Steiner on steel guitar, and Cephus "Woz" Wozencraft on drums. Hand does the lead singing and songwriting for the group.
James Hand's albums are Live at the Saxon Pub and Shadows Where the Magic Was. Both albums are mostly all original tunes. Obviously, this band plays at the Saxon Pub from time to time. You might also catch them at Ginny's Little Longhorn or Poodle's Bar and Grill.
