Amanda is a resident of Austin and has enjoyed playing the harp for twelve years. She has played professionally at many different venues in the Central Texas area including weddings, receptions, high tea parties, real estate open houses, Christmas parties, church events and anniversaries.
Amanda's extensive repertoire includes classical music, pop songs, traditional & contemporary wedding music, movie themes, inspirational music, and many international styles.
In 2005, she was the winner of a national scholarship competition sponsored by Guardian Life Insurance Co. The award was given in recognition of her outstanding accomplishments as a successful young entrepreneur and founder of two businesses. She also received a scholarship from the Austin Harp Society and enjoys participating in the local chapter.
This past year, Amanda was delighted to accept an invitation to join the Austin Wind Symphony. The ensemble performs several concerts per year, with an exclusive repertory of television and film scores.
Amanda recently had the honor of performing with Josh Groban on his 2007 Awake Tour. She was hand-selected to be a member of the orchestra for the concerts at the Toyota Center in Houston, and the AT&T Center in San Antonio.
In addition to her career as a professional harpist, Amanda teaches ballet lessons at the Austin School of Classical Ballet, where she is also studying to become a professional ballet dancer.
