Seela Misra is a jazz vocalist. She sometimes appears as a single. She sometimes appears with Jerkovich whose first album is called the seela project. Jerkovich includes Brian Beattie on bass, Jon Greene on drums, THOR on congas, Craig Ross on guitar, Darwin Smith (currently of the David Baerwald and the New Folk Underground ensemble) on guitar, and Ephraim Owens on trumpet.
And Seela can also be found singing with a group called Torch. She sings with a laid back style that feels like the vibe from a much older person than her twenty-something appearance would lead you to believe at first glance.
Her first album, a 1999 release, was Something Happened. In 2004, Seela released Hard Times Hit.
