Pauline Reese Band Bio:

Pauline Reese describes herself as a female version of Willie Nelson in his early days. She wants to represent Texas country music to the world in the same way he did. She's been leading a country band of her own since the age of 18. In 2002 she released Road to Monterrey.

Greg Roberts of Country Line Magazine said, "Anyone who reads this column know I'm a stickler for real country. Reese can throw down on a swing or a waltz with the best of them. She can also put a tune on paper and turn it into a great song. Her lead single, "Trail to Monterrey," co-written with herself and Marcus David Kennedy Jr., is a great tune and has a nice Spanish flavor. She has also scored a few Freddy Powers tunes, "No Dancing" and "Texas and Oklahoma". Adding a tune by Clay Blaker "Love Me" and one by Willie Nelson "Night Life" put her right in the cotton. Reese has come a long way over the last few years and I have enjoyed her music all along. This may be Reese's breakout CD. I want to say publicly, this girl has got it, this CD is good, and all country."

Reese sings at the Broken Spoke regularly. She's also appeared at Gruene Hall and on the bill with Pat Green. Road to Monterrey is earning her spots on the Texas Music Chart and the Progressive Country Chart, so catch her while you can because she may be moving into the wider world of country before long.
