This band is a bunch of the founding fathers of Austin reggae playing Roots reggae. That includes Boomer Norman on guitar, David Roach on keyboards abd lead vocals , Louis Meyers on steel guitar, Miguel Pankratz on drums and vocals, Mike Koetting as Audio Engineer, Moe Monsarrat on bass and lead vocals, Randy Kirchhof on keyboards and vocals, and Steve Carter on guitar and lead vocals.
Some of these band members have been playing in Austin since the 70s days of the Armadillo World Headquarters. There have been well known bands along the path to this one, including Greezy Wheels and Stop the Truck, that members of this band played with. There's an account on their web site of how The Mau Mau Chaplains grew out of music's mysterious past: it's a good read. These days you can hear them play in spots such as The Flamingo Cantina.
