Leslie West Album Review:
Some of the best blues ever at 2006-07-26 Just buy it, all the songs are great, but Summertime is one of the best Leslie has ever done.
Leslie West Album Review:
The third Blues CD from Leslie at 2006-07-22 This is Leslies third Blues CD in a row starting with Blues to Die For, Blooze, and now Blue Me. For my money the second one Blooze was the best of the bunch, however there is alot here worth giving a listen to. Leslie explores the work of Joplin, Ten Years After, and Humble Pie to name a few. All of this with his signature sound (which I love to hear)The piano work on a number of the tunes works well complementing Leslies guitar. If you like rock and roll blues with that down and dirty Leslie West feel then you need to add this to your collection.
Leslie West Album Review:
Another 5 Stars for Leslie at 2006-05-28 Thanks again Leslie.I liked Leslie Wests music for years, but starting with PHAT it turned to love. PHAT was great, but Blues to Die For, Got Blooze, and now Blue Me are fantastic. It is just my kind of blues; slow and deep.Blue Me follows Leslies last few entries; all covers. This is fine with me. No need to re-invent the wheel. Just do the greats as only the greatest can do them. Keepem coming Leslie, keepem coming. The samples do not do this CD justice.
Leslie West Album Review:
5 stars recording at 2006-06-22 I got this one from Amazon the moment it was issued. No regret! I should admit I am a Leslie West fan. This helps to appreciate this CD the moment you push the play button. For all casual listeners - dont hasitate to check this set of covers. All songs have Leslies signature on them plus some excellent backing from the other musicians, including some beautiful piano playing.Blues rock guitar at its best, inovative and modern. Good work Leslie!

Leslie West Album Review:
still going strong at 2005-08-18 I have been a Leslie West/Mountain fan since 1970. Its great that he is still kicking ass after all these years. I was fortunate enough to see both CACTUS and BECK, BOGERT and APPICE when each band started. When I found out Leslie had teamed up with Tim Bogert I was thrilled. This album does not disappoint. Like good whiskey, these guys get better with age. If you are a fan, you will love this album. If you are new to Leslie West, this will leave you wanting to hear more.
Leslie West Album Review:
Fantastic at 2005-10-09 This is by far the best blues album that I have heard from West. A lot of old blues tunes redone and some great rock and roll included.
Leslie West Album Review:
West of theMountain theres Blooz at 2005-09-29 A stonking set of blues rock classics delivered hard and direct by the big voice from Mountain and driven by stixman extraordinaiire Aynsley Dunbar . Hilites are Hendrix/Cream covers and 2 pieces relevant to New Orleans.A list stuff for my Good Morning Blues show .
Leslie West Album Review:
Im a Leslie West Fan! at 2006-02-24 Somebody else who reviewed this recording mentioned that it would have been nice to hear other than covers. I agree to a point, but Ive been a Leslie West fan from before he joined Mountain. Anything he does is just icing on he cake for me. Hes been around a while, and this recording proves hes still got it! Highly recommended for lovers of blues or blue rock music.
Leslie West Album Review:
Another Great Line-Up, but... at 2005-10-31 all covers. I know its heresy to speak ill of such a awesome group of guys, but I am not a fan of cover material. Spend a little creative effort on the song-writing side, vice the performance aspect. We need new material from you guys, not more re-hashing of other peoples songs. Michael Schenker, Pat Travers, and Frank Marino must have covered every rock/blues song out there. Press forward with original songs, so that in 10-15 years, the next generation can cover them.
Leslie West Album Editorial: Got Blooze contains the kind of guttural vocals and soulful bluesy guitar playing that have established Leslie as one of the greatest talents in the history of rock and roll and delivers the kind of high level performance which West fans have come to expect. Leslie teams up with legendary drummer Aynsley Dunbar and bassist Tim Bogert for a true blues power trio that combine for a unique synergy that is seldom heard today.

Leslie West Album Review:
Best Blues - Rock Album This Year! at 2005-08-02 Lots of jams here from one of the greats. Sound quality and mixing is excellent. The Live cuts are superb ending with a tribute to Felix P. With all the new junk out there this was a real breath of fresh air. Anybody that likes Blues and Rock will want this album.
Leslie West Album Review:
Been there-done that! at 2005-04-06 I agree with Joe in that most of these tracks have been released on other albums over the years. If you want new Leslie West material buy Blues to die for which is a really good album.
Leslie West Album Review:
guitared at 2005-09-30 I found this to be weak. covers are feeble at best. a sign of that current time in music history
Leslie West Album Review:
great! at 2005-10-09 Hard driving blues by a master. I was pleasantly surprised by the intense guitar work and fell that West was really enjoying himself.
Leslie West Album Review:
This is a compilation at 2005-11-08 There are no liner notes, or anything on the CD or its cover to so indicate, but if you look at these songs as part of Leslies catalog, they were released in the 10 or so years preceeding this disc. That being said, it amounts to a post-Mountain best of. Stormy Monday and Third Degree especially sound fine, but the rest of the album is good too. I would have liked some real liner notes, but the music is tasty.
Leslie West Album Editorial: 2004 Release from the Former Guitarist of Mountain and West Bruce and Laing.
Leslie West Album Editorial: Founding member of Mountain releases his 2004 solo album with help from Gregg Allman Poppa Chubby Leo Lyons Joe Lynn Turner (Rainbow Deep Purple) and more. Leslie West Album Review:
still has the goods at 2006-05-09 you will like this album if you are more into the heavier mountain sound as mr. west still has the goods both vocally and guitar wise. songs like im ready and dont start me talking stay in a more traditional blues form with west playing some tasty guitar.i agree that some songs the guitar tone is less than stellar but overall a worthy effort.
Leslie West Album Review:
Highly disappointing at 2005-11-14 Brief flashes of the Leslie West I remember, occasional glimpses of his blues prowess. But the satisfying moments on this disc are too few and too far between. I rate it a complete waste of money.
Leslie West Album Review:
blues died at 2005-09-30 Leslie West did his best, a little weak, fine for the meak,There is better out there, short of a six pack maybe just a beer.
Leslie West Album Review:
Gloriously Disturbed at 2005-09-29 This is The Blues baby. If your Mom and Dad brought you to the concert now is the time to tell them to go on home cuz we gonna kick out the jams, disturb your mind and kick your ass with The Blues.Long-neck bottles, sly-looking women, cars that go faster than they look - and Leslie West is eyeballing your mama - so you better ante up and keep your cards close to your vest cuz - Baby! ...this IS the blooze!
Leslie West Album Review:
This will smoke your shorts at 2004-11-06 Whatever it is, Mountain man Leslie West still has it. Theres some seriously kickin guitar work here to go along with Leslie sound of pure evil vocals. I dont understand why hes not getting the same exposure as other supposed guitar heroes. Labels should be beating down his door and offering him the chance to rip it up in the studio every month without fail. Blues fans should be worshipping at the alter of the Great Not As Fatsby. Virgins should be dancing and the little children laughing and playing in the streets. This is the blues, baby!
