Country variety is the chosen label for Kings of the Motel 6. Kevin Havron takes lead vocals and acoustic guitar. When the band began it included Bill Carpenter on bass guitar and harmony vocals, Timothy Carpenter on drums and harmony vocals and Robert Duarte rounded out the group on lead guitar, accordion and keyboard.
After just three weeks together, they appeared live on Austin Music Network's "Breaking In." By 2002, the group had evolved to include band original Kevin Havron, with Alan Maughan on drums and Chris Touchton on lead guitar and vocals.
