Brandon Jenkins Album Review: Gem in the red dirt at 2003-11-03 I was a fan of Brandon Jenkins the first time I heard him. I bought Unmended, which was an excellent album. Easy to listen to and crosses different music types from honky tonk country to folk.I had the pleasure to meet Brandon while he was going from Austin to Oklahoma at a bar in Dallas. To a small audience I was amazed at his performance and solidified my belief that he will become a legendary signer/song writer in the future.Live at the Blue Door is a fantastic live album that give you the feeling that you are there enjoying some great Okie music as Brandon enjoys playing it for you. You will not be dissappointed with any of the albums that Brandon offers, especially this one
Brandon Jenkins Album Editorial: With the swagger of predeccessors such as Ray Wylie Hubbard and Waylon Jennings Brandon opens these procedings with his own brand of church on Giddeons Bible a fun country/rock celebration before settling into fourteen more songs that show his versatile songwriting and performing style that is as real as it gets in music today....Brandon isnt singing country as much as he is singing Okie which is to say he is simply singing his life.
